Designations and Licenses

There are many designations and certifications available to you as a member of a local association due to our affiliation with the National Apartment Association and the Property Management Association of Michigan.  Below is a list of designations and certifications we offer you to advance your career.  As a member of WA3 you are a member of the Property Management Association of Michigan.  As a member of the PMAM, you can attend any of the education at our affiliated associations at the member rate.

Certified Apartment Property Supervisor - This program is an in-depth review of property management principles and techniques as used by the professional supervisor at the multi-site management level. 


Certified Apartment Manager - This program is for the onsite manager, a vital link between apartment residents and the community owners and investors.



Certified Apartment Maintenance Technician- This program is designed as an introduction for new maintenance professionals or as a refresher for the veteran employee, to give these professionals the knowledge and tools necessary to run an effective maintenance program.

Independent Rental Owner Professional - This program is offered to the rental owner who manages their personally-held multifamily property or properties. The independent rental owner serves several roles in property management, public relations specialist, administrator, chief financial officer, marketing director, and operations manager.

CERTIFICATIONS

EPA Section 608 Section 608 of the Federal Clean Air Act requires that persons who work with regulated refrigerants be certified.
Universal R-410A To address the issues of safe handling, training and certification with the use of R-410A the industry worked together to unify behind a Universal R-410A Safety Training & Certification program.

REAL ESTATE CON-ED FOR PROPERTY MANAGERS

No longer do you need to attend a real estate continuing education class that doesn't apply to your industry.  The Property Management Association of Michigan has designed a course approved by the State of Michigan that qualifies for your 6 hours of continuing education on an annual basis.  Since all third party mangers are required to have their Real Estate License you now can learn what is new for your industry on an annual basis.
