The Property Management Association of Michigan has hired the lobby firm of Kelley Cawthorne to represent your interests at the State of Michigan legislative sessions. The issues they work on for you are governed by the Legislative Committee at the Property Management Association of Michigan. 

Issues PMAM has made a priority this year are:

• Bed Bug legislation that would allow for negotiations between the rental housing provider and the resident to determine the process of removal.
• Emotional Support Animal legislation that would help curtail the abuses to this important need.
• Licensing requirement changes to the occupational laws
• Late Fee legislation that would standardize what can be charged and give guidance to judges.
