Message from the President - February 2025

Dear Members,

I am honored to step into the role of President for this esteemed association. Currently, I serve as the Regional Director of Operations for Landmark Properties, overseeing the management and ownership of six downtown Ann Arbor buildings, with another under development. I have worked in the Washtenaw market for coming up on a decade but also had the opportunity to work in diverse markets, including State College, PA; Philadelphia, PA; Reno, NV; and Berkeley, CA. This broad experience, combined with my involvement on the State Board (PMAM) and my role as a liaison between the state and local legislative committees, has deepened my understanding of industry challenges and advocacy efforts.

 I was born and raised in the Washtenaw Area only to leave for a short four year to attend many of our residents and member rival college (MSU). While I did discover my love for the rental industry in East Lansing, I was quickly brought to the booming Ann Arbor market with the nations top student housing developer. 

My vision for the association is one of growth and advancement—expanding our reach in education, membership, legislative advocacy, and operational excellence. I aim to build upon our strong foundation and further position our association as a leading voice in the industry. Over the past three years, we have witnessed significant market shifts, and my goal is not only to ensure our members stay ahead in navigating these changes but also to proactively lead the market in shaping the future.

I am excited to take on this role and drive these initiatives forward. I encourage you to explore our newly launched website and find a committee, event, or educational opportunity that resonates with you. Together, we will usher the Washtenaw Area Apartment Association into a new era of success.
