Hours:

recycling, household trash and bulky items not in usable condition.
A full list of what is and is not accepted can be found on page 2.
***SCHEDULING EXTRA DUMPSTER COLLECTIONS:
City serviced trash dumpsters: apartment complexes in the central campus area that have
dumpster service provided by the city may make an extra request to have the dumpster
emptied, at no additional cost, for May 2, 3, 6, and 9. Requests must be made in advance
by calling Customer Service (734.994.7336) at least 2 days prior to the day of requested
service. Additional extra collections of trash dumpsters on dates outside of those listed are
available for a fee of $88 per collection and may be requested via Customer Service.
REMINDERS: All trash and recycling must fit inside the cart or dumpster it’s in, with the
lid closed. Material sitting on top of, alongside or in front of containers will not be
picked up. Dumpsters cannot be emptied if they are blocked by vehicles. Please ensure
all containers can be accessed by the collection truck. Blocked dumpsters will be serviced on
the site’s next scheduled day. If the dumpster owner requests the city to return to empty the
dumpster, the scheduled service rate of $88 will be assessed.
